Meet the Maker behind Caroline Cecil Textiles
Meet Caroline, founder, CEO and Creative Director of Caroline Cecil Textiles.
Known for effortless yet impactful hand-screen printed fabrics, pillows, and wallpapers, Caroline’s collection is made in America on the finest Belgian and Irish linens.
Founded in 2015, Caroline’s debut textile collection featured her own paintings using her grandmother’s brushes and a pot of India Ink. Since then, these artworks continue to be the inspiration for her fabrics and wallpapers.
… most of my artwork is inspired by an emotional state rather than a place or an object. The creative process for me is calming and centering, and that experience lives on after I finish painting whenever I see the piece again.
EXPERIENCE & INSPIRATION
Caroline’s studies in graphic design, business and textile design launched her into working as a textile designer for several companies including couture and design for the mass market. Her experience inspired her to launch her own line focused around artisan production methods.
Passionate about producing the finest product, Caroline’s textile and wallpaper line is guided by the principles of Creativity, Originality and Quality.
“Ultimately, I love hand screen printing because the hand feel is truly unique and memorable. I believe that this production process elevates our designs, allows us to print in small batches, and supports our incredibly high standards for colour matching.”
Caroline is committed to upholding responsible environmental standards within her business. She collaborates with fellow small businesses supporting their ongoing craft, such as family farmers in Flanders who have spent generations perfecting their textiles and local American printers, another small business committed to the production of environmentally responsible materials.
ARTWORK TO INTERIORS
The unexpected moments that designers create with Caroline’s fabrics and wallpapers never cease to amaze her. Toronto based Interior Designer, Erica Gelman expressed a delicate wow-factor in this boys room, using ‘Titik’ wallpaper on the walls and the inverse colour combination on the ceiling.

WHAT’S TO COME?
Caroline has just launched her newest collection ‘Drift’ inspired by the inherent fluidity and oneness of life. It features four new prints in rich, easy-to-layer earth tones, serving as a calming reminder that even in moments of stillness and quiet in life, we are in fact, always in motion and evolving.
