Meet Anna Sassi
Anna is a graphic and textile designer based in East Gippsland, Victoria. She has recently made the move into designing interiors fabric and wallpaper after designing patterns for the fashion industry for over ten years. It had been her dream to have her own studio and to create unique, vibrant designs for interiors – and that she does!
Anna Sassi’s design process
Anna’s designs are a true expression of her aesthetic and personality.
She draws her inspiration from art, architecture and her Italian heritage which is characterised through her designs by bold geometrics and strong emphasis on colour – it is what comes naturally to her.
Anna’s design process always starts by hand, painting and mark making. In the initial stages, whilst she might have a palette in mind, she doesn’t often design in colour. Rather, she focuses on texture and the subtle uneven lines that come from designing by hand.
“I love the bit of bleed you get from screen printing, or the texture from layers of paint. I set out to leave subtle clues of being handmade in my work, deliberately overlapping shapes, including a wonky line or tonal variation. It might look ‘perfect’ from afar but when you get up close you see all the personality.” Anna says.

Anna’s vision is to lead a creative life, designing from her studio in the country with her family while allowing time for the things that keep her inspired such as gardening and cooking.
She loves the idea when people choose her work because it speaks to their aesthetic and they’d be happy to incorporate it into their design story for years to come. Anna’s textiles, like all that we source here at Style Rev, are designed and created to last lifetimes, not only holding longevity with style but with quality.
“There is so much craftsmanship that goes into creating beautiful textiles. From the artistry of developing a design, the finesse of producing it and the quality of the fibre or fabric that ultimately carries the design.”
Focus on Sustainability.
Every collection we represent at Style Rev is truly artisan, meaning nothing is mass produced, and Anna is no different. Sustainability was ingrained into Anna throughout her studies in design and has continued into her business. She describes the sustainable choices she makes within her design practice as “basic fundamentals” and emphasises our responsibility as consumers to always choose consciously.
“Whether we like it or not, manufacturing products will always exist but we can choose to be conscious about how we create and how we consume. My move into interiors was driven by my passion for slow design. I love fashion but have difficulty with its pace and often the way the art of design is overlooked.”
